Sons Of Soul found the Oakland-based trio paying homage to classic soul groups of the 60 s and 70 s like The Temptations, Isleys, Sly Stone, and EWF, while pushing forward with live instrumentation, sampling, and even scratching. The result is a true classic of 90 s R&B that combines smooth groovers, sultry ballads,  and funky uptempo numbers, and is another testament to Raphael Saadiq s genius. Includes an incredible extended version of Anniversary, If I Had No Loot, Leavin , Lay Your Head On My Pillow, Slow Wine, and more.
