Green Mind was the major label debut (Sire) of Dinosaur Jr., in addition to their first without Lou Barlow (who founded Sebadoh shortly after.)  This record is effectively a J. Mascis solo album, as nearly all instruments were performed by him. The Wagon is one of the fiercest opening tracks of all time, pretty much setting the template for 90 s Alternative Rock. Other highlights include the acoustic bliss of Falling Cloud and the chill flutes of The Thumb . Includes bonus tracks culled from the import-only Whatever s Cool With Me EP in addition to B-sides and live recordings from the era. Deluxe gatefold packaging includes detailed liner notes based on contemporary interviews.Â
