A nice helping of dubbed-out trumpet (c o Anthony Calonico) and Latin percussion lends a very welcome Certain Ratio sort of vibe to these tunes, and the kid has made serious leaps since the quiet storm bounce of Bene’s World just last year. What do you expect from a guy who literally holds a degree in FUNK. We’ve got the whole B side on repeat, but both mixes of the title track are ace as well. Some of his most refined work to date, recommended.
