It s almost as if it wall was never supposed to happen. White Zombie s industrial thrash music had been brewing since 1985, but it was not until 1992 s La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume One that the band found mainstream success. With the weight of that album s platinum certification weighing on them, and after a few drummer changes, the band went back into the studio. Joined by producer Terry Date (Deftones, Pantera, Soundgarden), they took six months to write and record Astro-Creep: 2000. The album stuck close to the sound that had won them fans, distorted vocals, drilling riffs and the full throttled roar that could be felt from miles away. Sure they re a bit campy, but aren t all the best metal bands?
