Two brothers move to a beach town in California and start fighting a gang of young vampires… The Lost Boys, directed by Joel Schumacher, delightfully mixed horror with comedy and presented a visually striking film that has developed a cult following. The movie itself took a lot of cues from music videos of the time—costumes, hairstyles, attitude etc.—and the soundtrack perfectly captures the 80s aesthetic in addition to adding a layer of emotion to the plot of the movie. Gerard McMann s Cry Little Sister is the theme, and INXS and Jimmy Barnes cover Good Times by The Easybeats is one of the highlights. Also, Roger Daltrey does Elton John s Don t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, and Echo & the Bunnymen does its take of The Doors s People Are Strange. This is a limited-edition, 180g reissue.
