Peter Matson: Short Trips EP Vinyl 12 Sale

Peter Matson, who plays guitar for NYC breakout band Underground System, explores deeper dance music styles on Short Trips. Roma Norte leads off the late-night vibe, with subtle chords stabs and stripped-down rhythm programming leaving plenty of space for the hypnotic bassline to move the track along. Jimpster (Freerange Records) freaks the original w Afro-house flavors on the remix, and 3AM to Sete prolongs the warm, after-hours deep house roll. 126 is a breezy synth jam, and in very much similar fashion as the rest of the EP, it packs in just the right amount of punch to make bodies move on the dancefloor.
