The saga continues… El Michels Affair are back with the long awaited follow-up to the cult classic Enter The 37th Chamber! The Brooklyn funk band does it up big with a razor-sharp cover of the GZA s 4th Chamber of the classic Liquid Swords album. As expected, EMA does the Wu-sound proper with fuzzed out guitar and synths over heavyweight drums that literally give the OG RZA beat a run for its money. Worth it for this one alone, but the flipside finds El Michels teaming up with the one and only Lee Fields for a sweet bit of stripped down soul. Snakes is actually a version of the Ol Dirty Bastard album cut of the same name, with Fields crooning the original vocals while venturing into dark soul territory. It s obvious from these cuts that El Michels Affair stay sharp as ever!
